Abstract:

Recently only Epermenia falciformis (former a synonym of E. illigerella) is known from the British Isles, while E. illigerella is unknown from this region. Stainton’s note (1858) seems to imply that the larvae of E. illigerella are readily found in Britain on Aegopodium podagrariae, the only known foodplant of this species, while the foodplant of falciformis is Angelica sylvestris
